The small village of Notgrove lies in the heart of the Cotswolds and is only 4 miles from Northleach which is famed for its magnificent church known as the ‘Cathedral of the Cotswolds’. There is plenty of history to discover here in Notgrove too with most of the traditional stone cottages built for farm workers from about 1650. Our Norman church holds the graves of the Whittington family, famous for Dick Whittington who made his fortune as Mayor of London.
Nearby, the River Windrush flows through the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, creating a picturesque village scene. Adam’s Cotswold Farm Park, home to over 50 rare breeds of farm animals, is exactly 5 miles away. If your passion is walking, the Nuttery lies on the route of the Gloucestershire Way and provides a welcome rest stop.
